For me, that love affair with vintage began as a teenager growing up in London. Weekends spent wandering through Portobello Road Market and Kensington Market were never just about shopping—they were about discovery. I was drawn to clothing with character, craftsmanship, and individuality. Every piece had a story, and I loved imagining how I could make it my own.
I'd often take vintage finds home, alter them, change a button, shorten a hem, or add a unique detail. Looking back, I realize I wasn't simply collecting clothing—I was already beginning my journey as a designer.
That philosophy continues to inspire Malibu Road today.
